The Islamiyyah section of Little Scholars schools began with the inception of the secondary section in 2009, under the leadership of Sheikh Fuad Sirate Sherrif. Some of the pioneer staff included Muhammad Awwal Khalid, Harun Adam Abubakar and Mahmoudou Mouhammad Coulibaly.
At the end of the first year the student population was up to forty and lessons held from Mondays through Saturdays.
By the beginning of the second year the Islamiyyah lessons were completely shifted to afternoon session before which students were allowed to have some nap prior to the afternoon classes.
The aim of the Islamiyyah section upon the school’s mission and vision, is to provide students with the necessary knowledge that will make them upright Muslims, and capable of writing the Junior Islamic Certificate Examination at the end of their course.
